Alcoholism Symptoms, Getting Married, and Drinking in Moderation
Brad was a twenty-nine year old mechanic who had been drinking excessively since he was in high school. Although his drinking had not presented many problems over the years, he didn’t want his alcohol consumption to cause any problems in his life now that he was married and starting a family. In the back of Brad’s mind, he had a fear that he would soon start experiencing alcoholism symptoms if he continued drinking to an excess. As a result, he made a conscious effort to cut way back on his drinking. Apparently he caught things in time because was able to drink in moderation whenever he went out to drink with his buddies. This, in turn, relieved him of his anxiety about his excessive drinking.
