Splenda: Part Sugar, Part Not.

I’ve been doing some research on alternative sweeteners ever since my mother was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

According to her doctor, if she watched her diet and was careful on how many sugary and starchy foods she ate, her diabetes could be controlled through diet.

This was good news since the idea of insulin supplementation was not that attractive to her.

During my research, I came across many articles and good reviews on the sugar substitute, Splenda.

Being an actual derivative of sugar without all the side effects, this product seemed like the answer to many of our prayers.

So far, she’s been using it for a few weeks with no problems at all.
