The various commentaries serves as further insights to not only the various translations and the motives behind them but the different cultures with some geographical references. Some of the commentaries available are: Expositional bible commentaries which present an exposition of the word. It gives you a panoramic view of the themes within the bible. But it gives you some detail meanings of the words used within a text. This is very helpful to beginner students of the bible. Now these commentaries are not to be used as cliff notes or monarch notes. They are just there to help further expound upon a subject or theme.
