Positioning Is Key
Serius satellite radio has three different satellites and this allows one ot be positioned all the time over the United states, so no matter how far out in the boon docks you live, you can always get a radio signal. Your atenna from the satellite radio picks up the signal from the ground repeaters, which in turn have picked up the signal from the satellite.
Your antenna is also designed to filter out any interference and get you a clear beautiful reception. Satellite technology will continue to adapt but the basic way the satellite radio works will continue in the same manner.
